1 Thessalonians 5:18 The Apostle Paul writes: ‘Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.’ NIV
Being thankful to the Lord by expressing our gratitude is so powerful! We must remember we are nothing without Him. We have our very breath and life because of Him. Although we may be going through difficult and trying times God never changes, He is always good. He is the same yesterday, today and in the future.

I have certainly been tested and tried in this area of being thankful when my circumstances reflect heartbreak, sadness, and many other myriads of negative emotions and circumstances. “How am I to be thankful in this?” Honestly, it’s in the becoming spiritually mature. The Bible states it rains on the just and the unjust. We all go through ups and downs, hilltops and valleys and many detours in between. The key is to always reflect on the Lord, our eternal security, which is our salvation and every good thing in our lives that comes from above, amen?

Start your day by waking up and praying to Him. During these trying times when darkness is attempting to prevail in the world we must hold onto our anchor, Jesus Christ, so that we can be settled and well-grounded in our faith. We are heaven bound as children of God. Remember, the Bible states we are just passing through. Glory Be to God!!

Colossians 3:17 states: And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Lord, help us to remember to show our heart of gratitude towards you as this is pleasing to You, and allows our light to shine for others to see You through us. Thank You for being our anchor or hope, in whom we put our trust and confidence, We are thankful we have our eternal home in heaven with You. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
