Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. ESV

Are you feeling fearful, anxious or threatened this day? How many times have we gone through negative emotions, and not to the Father in prayer. We fret, worry and doubt- not even realizing how unhelpful or detrimental our reactions may be, especially if we stay stuck there. We all need to remind ourselves how vital it is for us as children of God to bring all of our concerns and prayer requests to the Lord.

In a moment the Lord can move on our behalf. He will settle our hearts.  Be still and know I am God. Psalm 46:10 ESV. Just like Peter when he steps out of the boat in Matthew 27-31, we see he definitely steps out of his comfort zone to meet Jesus on the water.

Are you perhaps called to a higher purpose in God, but fearful of stepping out into the unknown by faith? Jesus will certainly meet us where we are. It doesn’t matter if we stumble and fall. Keep moving. The Lord will extend His hand to you, Amen? He’s got us! Let’s have faith as we can encourage each other to take a next step with boldness for the Kingdom’s sake.

Lord, I thank you for being our #1 Recourse, our Refuge and Ever-present help in times of trouble. Your presence comforts us and reinforces our faith so we can trust as we step out of the boat in faith and meet with you on the water, stepping out of our comfort zone into unknown territory. Glory Be to God alone! Amen.
