But those that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. — Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
After a period of spiritual dryness, whether from personal sin, a loss, all kinds of fears, disappointment, or even just numbness from drifting away from what’s most important, or any whirlwind of things one goes through in life, there always can be a “come-back” in God- for those in Christ Jesus. Death and despair, illness, mental or physical, emotional stressors, and even corruption in this present world do not have the final say.
God has truly shown up for me on many occasions. As we are all being processed, going through trials and tribulations, I’ve learned to lean in and listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say through His Word and in the secret place. He may speak to you through worship music or through a trusted Godly friend or through a word at church. I have been so down in the past, just to see Him restore me with such joy as He showers me with His presence and blessings. Don’t forfeit what God may have for you just around the corner, stay in faith seeking Him daily.
He can restore us in a moment. He can refresh our souls and lift our countenance once again. Reach out to Him first in your moments of sadness and pain when you’ve been blindsided by whatever has pierced your heart deeply. Leave it all at His throne of grace. He already knows the pain and anguish you may be suffering. He understands. He’s our Savior. He is always waiting on our return to Him, the one who heals the brokenhearted. He is ever-present in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 states God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. He will show up for us providing what we need in His timing. Honestly, we may feel it is too late, that He is not arriving on time; but the Bible says He is always on time. Too many times we may want to give up as we are trying to get through a devastating blow, and we allow our faith to slip up.
There are always blessings that follow when we sustain attacks. The “Come-back” is supernatural with God’s help. We must receive our strength from God to be able to persevere and move forward in our lives. I believe God wants us to be whole, receiving from His Spirit all that we need, so we in turn can help others and fulfill our purpose in our lifetime. May the Lord help us all in our times of need when we truly need a supernatural come-back, Amen?
