“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” — Matthew 5:6: NKJV
As Billy Graham has stated, “feeding on the Word of God brings nourishment to our soul.” As we read The Word and pray, He satiates our appetites deep in our souls, brings calmness, rearranges our circumstances at times as we are going through all kinds of valleys and seasons of difficulty. God solutions are the best solutions. Feeling empty is a sure sign we need to be fed by His Word and His Spirit.
I remember being faced with a big decision of deciding where to move to due to a career change – which state would we choose? Well, we had to put that in God’s hands…He began showing us by giving us confirmation after confirmation that we were to leave Florida with our two boys at the time and move to Texas.
What a peaceful resolution after we hunger for God and thirst for righteousness and then we give the whole situation over to God in faith. As we get into His Word and His presence and let Him be the one true God in our lives, we will be able to rest in Him concerning the outcomes of our individual challenges and decisions big and small. Let’s be confident in that He does hears our prayers.
In the waiting He fills us with His love, joy, kindness, patient endurance, faith, and much more as we mature spiritually. There are some tests and trials, valleys we go through which God allows. He watches over us as we walk them out.
We are being filled as we live, move, serve in Him, in His ways and in His timing in all seasons. What joy it brings to be a part of the Body of Christ as His Spirit ministers to us, guiding, speaking, teaching, imparting wisdom, etc. The Bible states in His Presence is fullness of joy. Psalm 16:11
It is so important to stay connected to the Holy Spirit during these dark times… we need our blueprints, instructions from above to move forward in our Kingdom Purpose. Remember, you are unique, and God will show you your next step as you follow His lead. Be aware of the enemy’s schemes as he attempts to kill, steal and destroy.
John 10:10 states Jesus brings to us life, and life more abundantly.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you, Lord, that as we hunger and thirst for righteousness you are filling us this day as we seek your face during these tumultuous times. Fill us up so there will be overflow and we in turn can be a light to those around us, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
